The name Seascape (South Ayrshire Escape from Homelessness) is synonymous with the relief of poverty and homelessness in South Ayrshire. Established in 1999 we began delivering support to the homeless community and those at risk of homelessness through our Rent Deposit Guarantee System and since that time has helped thousands of people with housing and poverty issues. Since 2012, Seascape has also been providing housing support services on behalf of South Ayrshire Council.
To ensure the provision of a high quality of service Seascape is governed by a board of trustees, all volunteers. The board provides assurance to the Scottish Charity Regulator, the Care Inspectorate, our funding partners and other interested parties that our governance and financial management are sound. They are responsible for setting the objectives and strategic direction of the organisation.
Seascape depends on public donations and fundraising and receives funding from South Ayrshire and East Ayrshire Councils to provide housing support services, services to refugees and for offenders released from prison. We were also funded by the “Big Lottery Fund” until 2021.
Our VISION is that everyone is given the opportunity to have a home and a place in the community of Ayrshire.
