Advice & Support
Homeless and Housing Support
If you find yourself homeless, at risk of becoming homeless, or you are facing some other housing related crisis, you can get one-to-one support from Seascape. The nature of the support you can get will depend on your individual needs. It can range from advice and guidance, signposting to other services or may involve ongoing one to one support over a period of time.
We will start by offering you a phone or face to face appointment to listen to your needs and work with you on a care plan tailored to your circumstances. You will be listened to and involved at all stages. If needed, you will be assigned a dedicated support worker who will work with you.
What can Seascape help with?
Everybody’s problems are different. Seascape can help with sorting out benefits or debt issues, help steer you through the Council’s housing processes and forms, or assist and signpost you to access private rented accommodation. We will help with dealing with other agencies such as health, social care, job centres, amongst others. If you are in fuel debt we can help with that.
The service can be provided in your home, in temporary accommodation or other forms of accommodation in which you are living.
We will enable you to live as independently as possible in your community.
The service helps people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and or vulnerable, to access, sustain and maintain accommodation independently.
Who is the service for?
Seascape provide housing support to people regardless of the type of accommodation they live in, including emergency or temporary accommodation, Council, Housing Association, private rented and owner occupied properties. Our contracted housing support services are for those aged 26+ and our I’M IN! project assists people in private rented accommodation in both East and South Ayrshire who are aged 16+
How do I access Seascape support?
Most referrals are made to the service by South Ayrshire Council Housing Options Team (Kyle St), Council Housing Officers (Area Offices), Ayrshire Housing Association Housing Officers or by your landlord if you are in private rented accommodation.
